Fastest rear drive V8 production car? How does it get to 100km/hr in 2.3s, significantly faster than the significantly lighter Koenigseggs? The ‘eggs are also significantly more powerful, stiffer, more aerodynamic...
What gives?

launch control and drag tyres maybe?

But surely the Koenigseggs have monster tyres too, they’re developed espec
ia
lly for the car. Same for launch control!

don’t know then

They’re actual drag slicks and it has a trans brake. That fat car can lift its nose if launched right.

I can’t find anything to support this, but I feel like the distinction lies within their definition of “production car.” That seems to be a fluid definition on Wikipedia, in terms of number of identical vehicles produced.
Just a guess.

AUD$ 270K...how much is that in Monopoly money? Might be able to help you out.

World’s fastest, eh?
Funny... A YouTuber named StreetSpeed717 has raced his ZR1 against a Demon a few times, and has consistently won. From both a dig, and in roll races. So... how is it the world’s fastest? Maybe on a prepped drag strip it is... but in the real world, it seems to get its ass handed to it by the ZR1.
ZR1 > Demon

Or just buy a ZR1.

But they’re road legal right? They can’t be that slick.
And if a transbrake is that effective, how come Koenigsegg
with all their innovation, haven’t figured out something equivalent? Granted the 0-60 game isn’t their sole metric of success, but still.

Daddy D oug:
The Demon also does the quarter mile at 140mph, but its limited to 168mph because of the tires. Those tires are very limited in their abilities.
